A growing Pharmacy Benefits Management Company is currently seeking highly qualified pharmacy technicians looking to further their career within the pharmecuitical industry.
Daily Expectations:
On a day to day, this person will be responsible for utilizing dual monitors to evaluate pharmacy claims through a series of criteria questions to determine whether a claim should be approved or denied.
This position requires processing, communicating, documenting and tracking of requests for prior authorizations, formulary exceptions, quantity exceptions, and following processes for delegated utilitzation management (UM).
Candidates must be highly detail and process oriented, possess strong data entry skills, and have an understanding of insurance as it relates to pharmacology.
Environment:
This position will be working out of a fast-paced, business professional environment. Business casual on Fridays is acceptable. Candidates must be comfortable on a computer for 8+ hours a day, sitting at a desk in a cubical.
Core Hours:
The core hours for this position are 8 hour shifts between 7:00am - 8:00pm.
This is a full time, 40 hour work week with opportunities for OT during peak season. Candidates must be open to working OT during week night and weekends (Saturday and Sunday) as needed.
Qualifications:
1-2 years of pharmacy technician experience or equivilant health care delivery experience
Passion for the field of healthcare and working with insurance claims
Candidates with a bachelors in Biology, Chemistry, or Healthcare MGMT have also done well in this role
Must pass computer skills testing requirements
