About this job

Performs a variety of facilities engineering assignments utilizing a wide range of engineering principles relating to the planning, design, construction and start up of new or expanded facilities. Works at an advanced technical level involving planning development and design of equipment, processes, and facilities. Reviews progress and evaluates results of multiple projects across various disciplines. Takes a lead role in major facilities projects and coordinates team efforts ensuring the completed facilities meet company specifications, schedules and budgets. Leads and coordinates teams of engineers and/or technicians as necessary to achieve project completion. Coordinates the work of outside design engineers and construction contractors. Takes a leading position in communicating objectives and requirements involved with sub-contractors from beginning of design process through construction, installation, and start-up.

A major portion of this role will be working on a $4million project. Setting up projects and managing them to completion. Will be working on an array of projects - up to $4million (many will be in the $200/250k - $600k range) and working on 2-3 at the same time. There will be an overlap and the candidate needs to have demonstrated this in the past.


The ideal candidate will have experience taking out dated manufacturing lines out and putting new system in. They will be responsible for coordinating the demolition and new construction (at same time, overlapping). A great deal of interface with the operations team, coordination, lots of customer service interaction with the operations/manufacturing/engineering teams. Need to have good ability to work with sub contractors, keep up with the schedule, layout timeline, and reach deliverables.

Qualifications:

Must Have a Bachelor's degree in an engineering field

Experience in manufacturing environment (a regulated environment preferred)
