About this job
Our client, an international leader in the cosmetics industry, is currently seeking a Buyer to add to its team. The Buyer will be responsible for purchasing domestic and international raw materials used in manufacturing through daily execution of the following:
- Analyze requirements and purchase raw materials using MRP system.
- Negotiate purchase prices with vendors.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with vendors.
- Forecast requirements for new products ensuring availability of raw materials for trial runs.
- Maintain corporate required inventory levels and safety stock.
- Support Bulk Planning Department.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3-5 years purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment, Cosmetics Industry a plus.
- Negotiating skills.
- Familiarity with MRP systems, MAPICS a plus.
