Toms is Now Hiring for Key Holders at our new Coffee/Retail Shop opening in Chicago! 

Position Summary:

As a TOMS Key Holder (Community and Events) you are responsible for assisting in the creation and execution of immersing the TOMS retail store into your local community. You will work directly with local partners, as well as TOMS HQ in creating weekly and monthly events to help activate and engage your surrounding community. Being a leader in community and events, you will be providing experience and suggestions for successful local activations. In addition to community outreach and event management a TOMS Key Holder assists in day-to-day operations of the retail store. As a key holder, you will be responsible for performing opening and closing procedures including cash counting and daily reporting to management. You will work to mentor and train Sales Associates alongside the assistant manager.

 


Candidate Profile:

You possess a strong understanding of your local community, and feel confident in providing them with events they can relate to. You are willing to make suggestions and remain entrepreneurial. The Community and Events Key Holder can adapt quickly and make adjustments on the fly while still maintaining a calm demeanor with customers and staff. You have the ability and confidence to take control of large events and keep them moving in the right direction. As the bridge between TOMS and your local community, we look to you to be brand ambassadors and immerse TOMS retail into the local culture.


Position Expectations:

  • Possess a strong understanding of TOMS and our One for One Movement.
  • Provides exceptional customer experience.
  • Ability to network with local partners for events.
  • Ability to educate customers and guests through retail and events on TOMS giving programs and One for One.
  • Acts as liaison between TOMS corporate and retail location to ensure clear communication and timelines are met for event activation.


Success Measures:

  • Coordinate and execute successful in-store events and activations and provide quality metrics and feedback.
  • Utilize events to gain knowledge of local customers wants and work with management to adjust product accordingly.
  • Provide metrics on event ROI and attendance.
  • Actively look for new event platforms to gain community buy in and attendance.
  • Ability to develop strong local network with various community leaders and coaches.
  • Continually look for ways to activate and engage local community while integrating TOMS and our One for One.
  • Ensure all events are aligned with TOMS and are on brand.
  • Utilize social network platforms such as Instagram to gain community buy-in and following.
  • Lead by example when working with customers on the sales floor.
  • Ability to provide customers with an exceptional shopping experience.

 

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year retail experience. Footwear preferred.
  • Experience in retail event planning and/or local community outreach.
  • Extremely self motivated and organized.
  • Strong Microsoft office skills.
  • Confident in working with social medial output including Instagram and various social media tools.
  • Ability to work nights and weekends.
