Microbiological QA Tech- SUMMARY OF JOB: Assist Quality Assurance Department with computer input of data into computer systems, ordering supplies and other products, perform cycle counts on raw material and ingredients and assist with audits. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Enter production batches into BPCS database as “shop batch/SB” transactions daily and maintain corresponding reports. • Maintain yield reports by entering batch quantities and “pounds packed” data into spreadsheet. Monitor waste percentages for outliers and assist production department with identifying waste opportunities. • Run daily BPCS queries and reports for production and planning. • Perform requisitions of lab supplies, samples, office supplies and other products for the QC department using Oracle and online tools. • Update and maintain spreadsheets for products held by QC Department • Audit kitchen and fill room processes for proper quality checks and GMP’s. • Perform daily and weekly cycle counts on raw materials and ingredients. • Assist quality department with any other tasks as seen fit by the quality manager. • Assist in mock recalls. • Maintains lab supply inventory. • Coordinates the plant monthly internal glass and brittle plastic audit. Qualifications: Good computer skills and ability to learn new computer systems required. Working knowledge of Word, Excel and Power Point a must, working knowledge of Oracle and AS400 a plus. Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Reasoning Ability: Needs to be able to independently identify problems and risk, make sound decisions in solving problems and to effectively communicate information to Management. Physical Demands: Fast pace and flexibility in schedules is a must. Work Environment: Production floor environment
