This job role will be part of an small onsite team at a large hospital client in Milwaukee, WI and may also include some remote access work.


You are responsible for investigating, recovering, and resolving all types of payment discrepancies. This may include initiating telephone calls to gather coordination of benefits data. The primary daily duties & tasks center on performing credit balance reviews in the hospital sector to recover overpayments made to providers. In addition, the onsite Account Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining business relationships with our provider partners, being the face of the company to our clients.

Primary Responsibilities:




  • Provide expertise client support by reviewing, researching, investigating  and resolving all types of payment discrepancies 


  • Analyze and identify trends and provides reports as necessary to clients and Senior Leadership


  • Ensure adherence to state and federal compliance policies, reimbursement policies, and contract compliance


  • Work independently and productively with a high degree of quality and accuracy


  • Build and maintain client relationships

 


Work will take place at a client facility. Additional local travel may be required if business needs dictate.
Training will include a 3-week formal training program and on-the-job coaching/mentoring.

Requirements



Requirements:


  • An education level of at least a high school diploma or GED

  • 1+ years' experience working in a client facing role and/or working onsite at a client site


  • Intermediate level of MS Excel with the ability to work with large amounts of data (Sorting, Filtering, V-Look ups and working with Pivot Tables within Excel) is required


  • Strong math background (must be able to do basic math calculations andknow how to get percentages out of data quickly)


  • Moderate proficiency with computer and Windows PC applications, which includes the ability to learn new and complex computer system applications


  • Ability to multi-task, this includes ability to understand multiple products and multiple levels of benefits within each product


  • 25% regional travel is required; must have the ability to travel as needed

 

Assets:


  • Undergraduate's degree
  • Accounting or Finance experience
  • Healthcare claims experience within a provider setting (billing, coding or contracts)
  • Previous experience in an auditing and/or analytical role is helpful
  • Experience working with medical claims and/or adjustments
  • Experience with negotiations
Soft Skills:


  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

  • Frequent speaking, listening using a headset, sitting, use of hands/fingers across keyboard or mouse, handling other objects, long periods working at a computer
  • Service center environment with moderate noise level due to Representatives talking, computers, printers, and floor activity
