This position will support Finance Operations Shared Services
which consists of three core functions Billing Operations, Collections /AR
Management and PeopleSoft ERP deployment. Develop operations measures and
metrics in support of our core mission to provide accurate and efficient back
office support to Optum Business units and quantify the value proposition for
the shared services.




Create monthly metrics of operational activity. Examples
of this would include monthly aging reports by business, DSO, cash forecast,
monthly amounts billed, transactional volumes, cost per transaction, measures
of process quality. Work directly with managers on variances from expected
results and aid them in identifying process improvements or other initiatives
that would drive improvement in performance. Partner with internal business
partners in developing explanation of monthly results and identification of
problems or areas of opportunity. Work with ERP teams on systems performance,
user volumes and usage variance. Develop expertise in PeopleSoft reporting
functionality to aid business partners with internal analysis.




Prepare month
reporting package along narrative explanation of results, make formal, informal
presentation of results to management team, business partners and senior
leaders. Develop processes that streamline reporting and data extraction from
multiple business systems.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 2+ years financial analysis experience
  • Ability to utilize MS Excel to utilize pivot tables, formulas, creating macros and building reports
  • Ability to utilize MS Access to develop reporting, import/export data sets, and write/modify queries
  • Ability to develop standardized and ad hoc reporting

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or related field
  • Previous experience with SQL
  • Previous experience with SOX compliance
  • Previous process improvement experience
