Position Description:

The Business Intelligence (BI) SharePoint Developer position is responsible for all new development and front-line customer support to enhance the way that information is stored, shared and presented for the entire CIP Health Plan.  The business that the BI team supports is fast-paced and relies heavily on interim solutions and temporary tracking to make traction on high-priority projects.  Additionally, the team supports the delivery of self-service reporting to allow business owners to see the pulse of their organization or identify any risks at a glance.  The ideal candidate will be proficient in a Microsoft environment including SQL Server 2012, Windows 7, and SharePoint 2010.


The SharePoint Developer will work closely with other team members of the BI Team as well as any SharePoint users in the business.  


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Front-line intake of new requests or tickets
  • Performing research on functionality to solve business problems or troubleshoot errors
  • Following best practices to limit the risk to the SharePoint environments
  • Security and Permissions
  • Act as a back-up to the SharePoint Administrator (maintenance, upgrades, etc.)
  • Solutions Content Deployment
  • Site owner training
The SharePoint developer will be responsible for working across a multi-disciplinary team comprised of technical, operational and analytic skill sets.  This position will report into the Business Intelligence Director.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 2+ years of SharePoint experience
  • 2+ years experience performing significant data analysis and report development.
  • Proficiency with SQL Server 2012
  • Intermediate level of programming knowledge (reporting code) and of relational databases
  • Previous experience using SharePoint to deliver Business Intelligence solutions
  • Previous experience with SharePoint Governance.
  • Previous experience with requirements documentation.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • BA/BS in MIS, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business or a related field
  • Microsoft SharePoint certification 
  • InfoPath and SharePoint Designer experience
  • Previous experience working with healthcare data
