United Healthcare Military and Veterans is currently seeking Respiratory Therapist (RT) to join our Disease Management (DM) team. The RT will provide individual and group education and counseling sessions.
***This is a telephonic position that is located in our office at 2222 W Dunlap Ave, Phoenix, AZ***
Primary Responsibilities:
- Receives referrals from the Disease Management clinicians for beneficiaries that need additional support/education related to the management of asthma and COPD
- Engages, assesses, and educates the beneficiaries telephonically
- Conducts training sessions for DM staff, assisting as the subject matter expert for the asthma and COPD programs
- Primarily offer consultation and collaborate with the clinician as part of the care team
- Investigates non-standard requests and problems, with some assistance from others
- Prioritizes and organizes own work to meet deadlines
- Provides explanations and information to others on topics within area of expertise
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum five years as a Respiratory Therapist
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) and/or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) is required
- Intermediate to Advanced computer skills-Microsoft Word, Outlook and Internet Explorer, with the ability to navigate a Windows environment
- United States Citizenship
- Ability to obtain favorable adjudication following submission of Department of Defense form SF86 .
- Good interpersonal skills, effective verbal and written communication skill
- Previous disease management experience highly preferred
As a requirement of UnitedHealth Group's contract with the Department of Defense, this position requires U.S. citizenship and proof of favorable adjudication following submission of Department of Defense , (the National Agency Check Legal and Credit or “NACLCâ€). Successful completion of the NACLC process is a requirement for continued employment in this role. NACLC processing will be initiated by our TRICARE Security Officer post-offer, and can take 3-6 months for a final decision communication from the Department of Defense. Candidates will be allowed to begin employment with UnitedHealth Group in this role based on an interim clearance, and final results will be communicated as they are received. Failure to obtain final NACLC approval will result in termination from this role.
