UMR offers tailored programs designed to enhance Clinical outcomes and reduce costs to customers. UMR offers best-in-class programs and Care Management services to help customers receive the right care at the right time in the right place.

 

In this role, an Enrollment Specialist will provide customer service to members associated with these programs. Telephonic interactions with members will involve creative, highly personalized communications supporting program participation at the level the member is willing to commit to. Enrollment Specialists will communicate with members both telephonically and through written communication.

 

Accountable to the Health Management Supervisor/Manager for performance of specific duties but will follow directives from the Director of Health Management Services or a UMR Officer. Internal interactions and communications will involve all levels within UMR Care Management for issue resolution as needed.   

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service by relaying program information in an efficient and pleasant manner via telephonic means. 
  • Enrolls potential members into the appropriate Health Management program through effective marketing skills.
  • Accurately maintains records of member contacts utilizing department guidelines.
  • Assists in problem solving by gathering pertinent data and reporting to the Health Coach or Supervisor.
  • Assists with the completion of letters and appropriate documents, per program guidelines
  • Maintains operations by following policies and procedures and makes suggestions for improving processes and efficiencies.
  • Participates in the orientation of new employees as requested.
  • Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Contributes to team success by accomplishing desired results.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Ability to work 11:30 am - 8:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
  • 2+ years previous Customer Service or Call Center experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in an Office environment using the telephone and computer as the primary instruments to perform the job duties.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree in Business or Health field.
  • Proficiency with Medical Terminology
  • Previous Healthcare Industry experience.
