About this job
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Set-up and adjustment of the equipment's feeds, lasers, electronic currents.
2. Qualify equipment with test parts.
3. Reads prints and time meters.
4. Makes minor adjustments to equipment.
5. Completes required paperwork for both internal and external processing.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Backs up the Belt Sorter as needed.
2. Assists in the training of new employees.
3. Drive a hi-lo if necessary.
4. Communication with outside machining companies for troubleshooting.
5. Performs safety and housekeeping on the machine and work station.
6. Performs other duties as assigned.
This is a fast pace 95% automotive nuts and bolts supplier to many OEM's and Tier Suppliers. They have a lot of product lines and specialty bolts. HOT environment in the summer. MUST HAVES: some light button pushing or light machine operation experience, labeling, packaging and stacking material bins (30-35lbs) on a very consistent basis. 100-200 lifting times per day. Filling out production sheets and using the computer., Will be trained on the sorting portion. The machine sorts the parts itself through laser technology and this person will pack the bolts and stack them. Any observations on multiple bad parts, will ask for help on the machine. NICE TO HAVE: hi lo experience, automotive experience, fast pace, demanding.
