Survey Party Chief

Aerotek Energy is hiring a Survey Party Chief for an Oil and Gas design company in the Morgantown WV general area. The Party Chief is a lead surveyor who works in the field, performing surveys and data recording while leading a crew of surveyors.

Job Duties:

- Deed, file, and record research
- Interpreting prints and plans;
- Uploading and downloading survey data and operating a variety of survey equipment
- Responsible for recording field notes and providing relevant sketches in field books to ensure that field data is accurately represented in a CAD format drawing once downloaded
- Lead, manage, and direct a survey crew.
- Serves as a lead to staff to include assigning and monitoring work and providing direction in performing various land survey operations
- Leads and participates in a variety of land survey operations such as boundary, topography, leveling, design, as-built, and maintaining horizontal and vertical control networks utilizing a full range of survey equipment
- Prepares and verifies mathematical calculations related to surveying and basic engineering; computes and adjusts angles, distances, bearings traverses and elevations; interprets and computes field data; evaluates for accuracy and completeness

Qualifications:

-Associates degree in Survey
- Survey in Training (SIT) License preferred or the ability to obtain credentials
- Minimum of two years of experience required with a wide diversity of survey projects
- Experience using and operating a variety of survey equipment including Conventional Total Stations,Auto Levels, Robotic Total Stations, and Survey Grade and Mapping Grade GPS units
- AutoCAD Software experience a plus
- Must be able to read and understand maps and plans
- Strong communication skills required
- Must be detail oriented, self-motivated and have a strong work ethic
