Manages ongoing contract relationships and service delivery to clients for one or more accounts. Acts as outward-facing, dedicated resource for assigned accounts, typically with direct client contact (not call center) and large or complex accounts. Builds relationships with employer/group clients (not individual members) and serves as the primary point of contact for overall and day-today service delivery. Represents client internally and coordinates with other functions to implement client systems, complete projects, and address ongoing service needs. This function includes employees who are in dedicated on-site service roles. Jobs in this function may work closely with sales on renewals and up-selling, but incumbents do not have specific sales goal accountability. Employees in this role are responsible for supporting clients requiring an advanced level of knowledge and experience.


 


Primary Responsibilities



  • Provides updates to solution leadership on client status and areas of escalation

  • Attend meetings with solution owners - front line

  • Conducts onsite client meetings and internal client team meetings, as needed or as required at the direction of management

  • Serve as point of contact for designated solution

  • Identify solution area needs and position solution to meet those needs

  • Stay current on relevant Optum solution updates

  • Solve day to day client issues within solution area

  • Partner with broad internal team - Sales, Implementation, Product, etc.

  • Analyze and determine client retention risk and issues

  • Review and understand solution ROI/value

  • Articulate Optum/UHG value proposition within context of the solution

  • Define, collect and analyze key metrics for success for solution

  • Understand client's business model (independent vs IDN, teaching vs. community hospital, for profit vs. not for profit, vision, mission and values and can recognize potential strategic opportunities)

  • Support execution against Client Plan

  • Participate in the client Planning Process

Requirements

Required Qualifications:



  • Excellent listening & collaboration skills

  • Highly self-motivated and directed individual with strong negotiation & problem solving skills

  • 5-10 years of previous client management experience preferably in the healthcare/IT market

  • Ability to travel from 50 to 75% within territory
