* Proficiency in MicroStation, InRoads, StormCAD, FlowMaster, Storm and Sanitary, HEC-RAS (stdy/unstdy) & HEC-1
is highly preferred
* Experience with DDMSW, AutoCAD, CulvertMaster, FLO-2D, and HEC-6 a plus.
* Experience using Project Wise is a plus


We are currently seeking resumes from qualified Drainage Project Engineers for our Phoenix, Arizona office. The purpose of the position is to function as part of a Drainage Design team and to be able to be the Lead Drainage Engineer on Drainage tasks and small projects. Primary role is drainage analysis and design of transportation and public works drainage facilities. This exciting career position offers an opportunity to work in a team-oriented environment and to gain valuable experience in leading a design tasks and/or projects. We are looking for an individual with an established track record of successful project work with the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT), the City of Phoenix and other local agencies including the Flood Control District of Maricopa County.
Experience with Indiana DOT and Nevada DOT is a plus.
The role will be to perform and/or manage drainage design tasks for freeway and highway, municipal streets, and flood control study and design projects. Successful applicant will be able to work independently and to supervise others to prepare final design plans and specifications, perform advanced hydrologic and hydraulic calculations, write and assemble drainage reports. River mechanics, erosion and scour calculations and sediment transport training/experience is a plus. Experience working in a team environment is very important. Should have the ability to take and to give design direction depending upon your role on a given project.
Working Conditions and Environment:
This position will require general supervision and will have to use independent judgment within established guidelines. Generally uses advanced knowledge to analyze, interpret, or make deductions from varying facts or circumstances. Will need the ability to establish rapport quickly with others working on the same project, and be able to promote a positive team environment. A working knowledge of dealing with a diverse population while using tact, diplomacy, and respect.
