We are seeking an exceptional clinician to join our soon-to-open Baybrook location with superior diagnostic and procedural skills, plus an appreciation of teamwork and professionalism. The successful Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner candidate will be part of a team dedicated to improving the delivery and quality of health care that is patient-centered, safe and effective in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include:



  • Examines, diagnoses and treats patients of all ages for acute injuries, infections, and illnesses

  • Counsels and educates patients and families about acute and chronic conditions or concerns

  • Collects, records and maintains accurate patient information

  • Documents items such as: appropriate chief complaint, past medical, family, and social history, review of systems, examinations, medications, allergies, assessment and plan

  • Formulates diagnostic and treatment plans

  • Prescribes and administers medications, therapies, suturing and splinting

  • Orders lab and imaging tests to determine and manage an immediate treatment plan and provides advice on follow up

  • Refers appropriate tertiary care to specialists

Requirements

Required Qualifications:



  • Board Certified from the NCCPA or Family Nurse Practitioner national certification

  • Nurse Practitioners must be registered with the state as a Non-Certified Radiologic Technician (NCT)

  • Master's Degree level from a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program

  • Current Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner license in applicable state or ability to obtain

  • DEA license or ability to obtain

  • Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support

  • Minimum 2 years of clinical experience

  • Ability to formulate a differential diagnosis

  • Proficient in assessment and development of treatment plans

  • Effective communication skills

  • Ability to function in collaboration with other healthcare professionals

  • Outstanding organization skills and ability to multi-task

  • Takes initiative, creative, has problem solving ability, is adaptable and flexible

  • Ability to practice autonomously with minimal physician supervision and knows when to consult a physician

  • Ability to consistently present a friendly, welcoming and professional public-facing appearance

  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment

  • Successful candidate must submit to TB testing and vaccinations required by company policy

 


Preferred Qualifications



  • Urgent care and outpatient clinic experience

  • Bi-lingual English/Spanish
