Sandblaster (All 3 shifts!) - Full-time

CoWorx is currently recruiting to fill 1st, 2nd and 3rd shift sandblasting positions with a busy client in York County. Previous experience is not required but strongly preferred. The right candidate will come to work every day with a strong work ethic and have excellent attendance records at previous places of employment.

This is a long-term temporary position with the potential to go permanent for the right candidate!

The sandblasting employee with abrade surfaces of metal or hard-composition objects to remove adhering scale, paint, rust, oxides and any other surface imperfections and achieves specified finish, using abrasive-blasting equipment.

• Shovels or pours abrasives, such as sand, grit or shot of specified grade into machine hopper
• Loads parts on racks in enclosed rooms, into tumbling barrels or into cabinets
• Turns valve on equipment to regulate pressure and composition of abrasive mixture flowing through nozzle or into tumbling barrel
• Manually directs nozzle over surface of large parts or inserts arms through glove fitted cabinet openings and manipulates small parts under nozzle for specified interval
• May examine finished parts to ensure conformance to specifications
• Employee must be able to lift up to 40 lbs by using proper lifting techniques
