About this job
Our client is looking for a Pharmacy Technician. Candidates will be responsible for:
- Receive new prescriptions from patients.
- Accept prescription refill authorizations
- Adhere to policies and procedures related to pharmacy operations.
- Stay compliant with all rules and regulations related to pharmacy practice
- Help manage inventory levels
- Process prescriptions on the computer and fill prescriptions quickly and accurately.
- Collect appropriate information for billing of Medicaid and Medicare
- Help ensure that patients are counseled on all new prescriptions and on any refills where there has been a change in therapy or patient condition.
- Communicate with pharmacy manager on a regular basis.
