Requirements

Skills and Qualifications:
  • Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.
  • Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
  • Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 1's and 1's.
  • Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Perform all aspects of corporate security.
  • Insure the safety and security of people, property and information.
  • Issue security badges as needed.
  • Controls personnel, visitor and contractor access to Dish facilities.
  • Maintains an event log and operates computer systems supporting computerized security programs.
  • Monitors security cameras and fire, building, and alarm systems.
  • Patrols Dish property for security breaches, maintenance problems, fire and building hazards etc.
  • Response to alarms, security situations and other incidents taking action as directed to resolve the problem.

Education and Experience:
1 year certificate from college or technical school; or 6 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
