Firewall Inspector Job Description
Responsible for inspection of:
Final inspection visual criteria
Receiving inspection visual criteria
Process inspection visual criteria
Uses measuring instruments when required
Ensure product meets requirements as per visual samples and specification
Firewall inspectors is the act of ensuring that products and services meet their required quality standards. A quality assurance inspector works by measuring set existing product quality standards against the standards set by management.
Firewall Inspector Job Duties
Firewall inspectors work primarily involves sampling all material 100% and following visual criteria provide by the Quality team and standards developed. Eye balling and verifying that manufactured products meet pre-determined quality standards. These quality standards include customer standards, International Standards Organization (ISO) standards and American National Standards Institute (ANSI) standards.
The job typically requires standing throughout the entire shift job, lifting, bending and limiting movement are also expected.
Types of Quality Inspection Work
Firewall inspectors visual check existing products against the standards they are given by the quality Department, the customer's contract or standards imposed by the Engineering Team.
Firewall inspectors will record their findings in Specification Control Charts per measurements taken by themselves and others when required.
Firewall inspectors may monitor the Specification Control Charts to watch for trends of a production line's output moving away from the expected quality levels.
Firewall inspectors may monitor incoming material, may be involved in a product process, or may check outgoing product before it is shipped to the customer and rework as need be.
Will participate in Safety, Quality, and Production forums as needed or assigned to meet company objectives.
Will follow work directives as specified by: work instructions, control plans, engineering specifications, or directives from immediate supervisor/manager.
Will assist in assignments for projects as needed to meet required corporate goals and objectives.
Will assist in PPAP sample submission projects.
