JOB DESCRIPTION:
Operate equipment to achieve optimum equipment efficiency (OEE).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following are applicable to production lines assigned to operate.
*Safety & Housekeeping: Operate in a safe and effective manner in accordance to established Safety Rules (doc IIPP-301) and Good Manufacturing Practices / GMP (doc HACCP-501). Maintain a clean and organized departmental work area.
*Start Time: Employee must be clocked in and at their machine 5 minutes prior to scheduled shift start time.
*Quality: Refer to appropriate departmental quality standards.
*Operate production lines to achieve optimum performance and product quality.
*Perform roll & draw-tape spool changes and routine operator equipment & process adjustments.
*Perform order change-over's (set-up) in accordance to the production schedule.
*Document production related activities on the shift report. Forward completed reports to the Lead-TPO.
*Perform quality checks and documentation.
*Maintain the on-line Process Logbooks for the work shift.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Other duties as assigned.
*General supervision of Packers with emphasis on performing job duties in a safe and effective manner.
*Provide training (mentoring) for TPO trainees and Packers in accordance to departmental procedures.
*Participate in various training sessions / meetings for development of job related skills.
*Review production line operation with the previous shift TPO's and on-coming TPO's.
*Work in the capacity of Packer when requested by management.
*Report any equipment malfunctions (breakdowns) including unsafe equipment conditions, sounds, and/or vibrations to the Lead-TPO. The Lead-TPO will issue maintenance work orders in the event one is deemed necessary. The TPO is responsible for logging it into the on-line logbook and production reports.
*Prepare & remove pallets of finished goods from the production area and place in the temporary staging location (when applicable). Note- do not take finished goods to the warehouse. Advise the Lead-TPO of any finished product that is removed from the area for documentation into the production reporting system.
*Prepare (empty) Gaylords for scrap accumulation. Remove full Gaylords, weigh it, and document the weight into the production reporting system.
*Perform (and/or assist with) equipment cleaning when requested by management.
*Assist in providing departmental personnel their breaks and meal periods.
*You are responsible for monitoring your breaks and meal periods.
