The Time Warner Cable Corporate office currently seeks a/an Sr. Engineer, Storage for our Cloud Operations & Engineering Department. Below please find a brief description of the essential duties and responsibilities required to function successfully in this position.

Position Summary

Support the day to day infrastructure operations of the SAN & NAS infrastructure within the Enterprise Cloud Storage group providing a stable, secure, efficient and scalable environment. This includes, but is not limited to the installation of new storage infrastructure, upgrades, array microcode / FOS upgrades, ticket resolution and troubleshooting both system failure related issues and performance.

Essential Job Functions:

- Providing guidance to the business regarding storage architecture design and implementation.

- Refining, maintaining and enforcing disciplines around systems metrics and performance tracking, including weekly reporting for supported systems (forecasting, capacity, utilization and performance).

- Work towards providing IT groups within TWC as well as customers ' Storage as a Service ' platform to reduce time to deployment and provisioning.

- Active participant in the TWC Change Management process, planning and managing the implementation, communications, tracking and reporting activities around Storage System changes.

- Participate in on-call rotation.

- Day to day operational activities for the group, including storage allocations, decoms, ticket resolution, troubleshooting and coordinating maintenance activities with our vendors.

- Plan, coordinate and perform storage migrations using various methods and tools.

- Evaluate, plan and implement new storage solutions as well as upgrades for existing infrastructure.

- Provide support and reporting for systems that fall under PCI and/or SOX

- Work with the Corporate Asset Manager to insure assets are effectively logged, updated, tracked and reported on.

- Work with management to plan and schedule execution of project related systems work (storage upgrades, implementations, complex allocations and data migrations) on-time and on-budget.

- Attend / Participate in customer on-site meetings

- Coordinate Vendor activities in the context of services being delivered to and with the Enterprise Cloud Storage team.

- Work to provide input and pilot selected next generation systems and technologies.

- Mentor Junior members of the Enterprise Cloud Storage team.

Job Requirements:

COMMUNICATION:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor ' s degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; or equivalent training, education and experience.
