SUMMARY:
The Client Strategy Leader is a key role in support of Marketing Solutions Delivery and in-house Studio. A key focus is on campaign development that includes traditional marketing communications along with digital, direct marketing and interactive solutions. The Client Strategy Leader scopes, coordinates proposals, and fully plans and executes marketing communications projects for our digital, direct and marketing communication solutions. The Client Strategy Leader works with our customers, internal functions, and supplier partners. This role represents as a strategic marketing communications, analytics and execution expert.
The Client Strategy Leader drives benefits across the customer's marketing lifecycle to achieve best-in-class response rates, service levels, and ultimately return on investment for their campaigns. The person in this role has a wealth of knowledge at his or her fingertips and becomes the gatekeeper for all facets of the customer's marketing initiatives including but not limited to: strategic development, project design, proposal and ROI calculation, list generation, personalized URL and email marketing, direct mail marketing, and analytics and response tracking. The Client Strategy Leader works with our customer toward the establishment of behaviors, practices and control/compliance that will ultimately deliver the desired results.
The Client Strategy Leader acts as the senior/single source of accountability for our customer's marketing projects, managing resources, driving process improvements, and controlling spend. As a champion of best practices, the Client Strategy Leader will lead sales and customers to optimal campaign design, planning, execution, and return on investment for critical campaigns.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Fully engaged in scoping, proposal, and execution of marketing communications projects on behalf of the customer. Interacts directly with customer's Marketing, Creative and/or Agency as well as in-house services.
• There are six major areas of the Client Strategy Leader's engagement: Strategy/Planning, Scoping, Proposal, Project Management, Execution and Analytics/Measurement. These phases are detailed below:
• Scoping
o Proactively works with the prospective customer to define objectives of the campaign, cost parameters, and customer's preferred approaches. May be engaged in this process by SR marketing, sales, account management, or implementation.
o Defines campaign objectives, elements and components based on requirements.
o Visits the customer during the scoping phase.
o Researches customer sales trends, strengths, weaknesses and competition and develops a strategy to attain customer established goals in a timely manner.
o Defines solution in conjunction with solution architect. Works with internal associates, and supplier/service provider partners to calculate quotation.
• Proposal
o Creates proposal to the customer to potentially include site visit to present and discuss the proposal.
o Includes alternate marketing strategies and approaches in the proposal as defined in the scoping phase.
• Project Planning
o Once deal is secured, creates a detailed project plan to ensure flawless execution of the customer's marketing campaign.
o Involves constituents within and subcontract service providers in the following areas: list generation, personalized URL and email marketing, direct mail marketing, and response tracking.
o Establishes accountability of all constituents to deliver prior to the execution phase.
• Execution
o Actively drives process working with customer to execute marketing campaigns
o Confirms and refines as needed campaign objectives, elements and components with constituents as follows:
- Create email campaigns to reach end-users
- Launches outbound telemarketing to drive adoption
- Coordinates direct mail campaigns
o Manages/monitors constituent activity at launch to ensure the achievement of SLA's and operational goals.
o Responsible for processing & monitoring information & data flows between our customer and internal and partner constituents.
o Drives process to ensure issue avoidance. Resolves issues that do arise.
o Effectively communicates issues, concerns or results with the customer and various levels of the internal organization.
o Assures quality standards and targets are met both within Sales & Customer Service.
o Follows up with the customer with results, learning, and suggested adjustments to future campaigns.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Master's Degree a plus.
• 5+ years experience in marketing production, methods, capabilities, processes, and certifications. Agency experience a plus.
• Project Management (PMI) or Black Belt certification
• General knowledge of all communications roles and sources including account service, copywriting, art/design, traffic, production, media and IT development.
• Strong writing and grammar skills, ability to proofread and/or attain good writing/proofing services
• Overall general marketing knowledge of production techniques and channels including graphics, printing, email blasts, website development, QR codes, viral marketing, etc.
• Willingness and ability to stay on top of latest marketing trends, attend conferences and trade shows to develop and execute these techniques.
• Ability to research customer sales trends, strengths, weaknesses and competition and develop a strategy to attain customer established goals in a timely manner.
• Good time management and project/people management skills, able to delegate and guide to completion.
• Advertising or marketing experience in account service or communications helpful, with knowledge of fair market value for services.
• Must be detail-oriented, organized, handle multiple tasks and meet extremely tight deadlines.
• Outstanding follow-through; multi-tasking skills and ability to work well under pressure of deadlines
• Communications with associates and customers at different levels of an organization
