CAD Drafter/ Space Planning
Aerotek is seeking entry level Drafters for full-time positions here in Portland, Oregon. Our client creates kitchen layouts within AutoCAD for commercial kitchens, test kitchens and dining areas. Drafters will work closely with Designers who will check final submittals for accuracy and time of completion.
Job Description:
-Work with other Designers to learn proper flows and layouts for kitchens and dining areas.
-Use either Photoshop or SketchUp to create renderings for client presentations.
-Limited plumbing, HVAC and electrical routing required, but may be needed in certain instances.
-Use pre-populated equipment blocks to insert standard kitchen and dining equipment into layouts.
-Act as a consultant in regards to equipment placement for kitchen and dining areas, taking into account work flow and ease of access constraints.
-Utilize Excel to track projects, calculations and specifications for projects. This will include using, editing and creating formulas.
Qualifications:
-Minimum 2 year degree or 2 years work experience as a production drafter in space planning, architecture, construction or a related field. -Proficient in AutoCAD 2012 and 2015.
-Utilize AutoLISP feature within AutoCAD to edit existing drawings.
-Experience with Revit highly desired, but not required.
Compensation is $14-$16 depending on experience.
