Opening Fall 2014, Patina Restaurant Group's newest project, State Grill and Bar, in the Empire State Building is positioned to anchor Herald Square and lower Midtown's growing culinary landscape.
A modern New York grill offering a lively breakfast, sophisticated lunch, intimate dinner service, elegant bar, three private dining rooms, and office catering. The restaurant will present daily, quality-driven menus, supporting and showcasing New York State farmers, brewers, winemakers, producers and purveyors. Echoing the Empire State Building's striking aesthetics and important legacy, the distinctive interior features exceptional finishes and a balanced design of art deco and modern architecture.
An immediate opportunity exists for proven restaurant professionals with the ability to maintain our high standards of quality and guest satisfaction. We offer great opportunities to build and grow into professional hospitality experts while maintaining friendly and enjoyable work environments.

DISHWASHER/PORTER REQUIREMENTS:
*A minimum of 2 years work experience
*Resourceful, clean & organized working habits with attention to detail
*Has a good sense of urgency
*A team player with a positive attitude
*Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
*Able to carry/lift heavy objects when needed (up to 50 lbs)
*Ability to communicate effectively
*Flexible availability including nights and weekends and holidays
COOK REQUIREMENTS:
*Experience in a full service, high volume restaurant preferably New York City
*Culinary certificate or degree a plus
*Resourceful, clean & organized working habits with attention to detail
*Personable, outgoing, energetic team player with a positive attitude
*Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
*Ability to communicate effectively
*Flexible availability including nights and weekends and holidays
