Responsibilities:

- Conduct process control audits of molding product. Ensure that variances to processes or procedure are noted on equipment logs, inspection data sheets, or other appropriate locations

- Perform visual and dimensional inspection of molded parts and mold components to customer drawing requirements and/or inspection instructions

- Ensure that all process materials (resins) and production parts are properly handled clearly identified and the status indicated on each container in accordance with quality manual policy, standard operating procedures, work instructions or other directives

- Give directives to others in the department as it relates to communication, working priorities, accuracy, etc.

- Identify and isolate all nonconforming material per NCMR procedures as well as complete NCMR as needed

Job Description:

- Fully and completely record data and process related information and maintain data sheets, log sheets, file folders and other necessary documentation in a neat, legible and orderly fashion

- Maintain 'first article, startup, retention and other designated product samples' recording all specified information and storing both parts and data to facilitate easy retrieval

- Identify and evaluate trends or abrupt shifts in part data or process performance and notify manufacturing and quality assurance personnel in a timely manner

- Maintain the inspection work area in neat and orderly fashion including sweeping and/or vacuuming the floor, washing down counters, tables, cabinets, etc. as necessary to maintain cleanliness and appearance

- Keep track of the parts that are in production, the upcoming work schedule, manufacturing equipment status, part revision levels, and other factors affecting customer part quality/reliability, yield, scrap, and the quality of work life (i.e. cleanliness and safety)

- Identify and record any manufacturing/environmental conditions that may affect part quality, yield or scrap on the affected inspection data sheet (i.e. machine down, water hose broke, lost electrical power, etc.). Notify manufacturing and quality assurance personnel of any conditions identified

- Conform to company policies, procedures, and directives. Interface with supervisor(s) to ensure a satisfactory career growth path is established and a plan implemented to provide an opportunity to achieve advancement

- Perform other tasks as required or assigned in support the company's needs, goals and objectives.
