We have a client in Fremont that has an immediate need for a Receptionist / Office Assistant. Great opportunity for the right person.
JOB DESCRIPTION
TITLE: Receptionist / Office Assistant DEPARTMENT: Operations
EDUCATION: High School degree or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE: 1 year experience in similar office environment; preferably in manufacturing.
DUTIES: Answer the telephone in a prompt and professional manner. Determine the purpose of the call and transfer calls as appropriate. Operate a phone system with multiple lines and extensions.
Cheerfully greet and welcome visitors in a courteous and professional manner. Determine the nature of the visit and announce visitors to the appropriate personnel. Maintain the visitor log.
Communicate clearly and effectively with customers, visitors and employees.
Maintain the lobby and conference room at all times.
Operate and maintain the functionality of the office equipment – computer, phones, photocopier, fax, scanner, postage, mailing labels, paper shredder, etc.
Order and maintain office supplies.
Support other departments as needed.
Follow company policies and procedures.
OTHER: Computer skills: Microsoft office software – word, excel, outlook,
Excellent communication skills – verbal written.
Good organizational skills; able to multi-task, be accurate, and detail oriented.
Understanding of general business practices.
Maintain confidentiality of information.
Good people skills: work as a “team player”.
Good problem solving ability.
