Assembler

ManpowerGroup is currently seeking an Assembler to help support our client's team. This is a temporary assignment that will last approximately five months. The pay rate is $9.50/hr. Basic Job Description: A department includes and is not limited to the following positions: winder, assembler, test & pack, insulation cutting, ratio testing, casting, etc. This position description is not designed to be all inclusive, however, is provided to give you an outline of this role. Responsibilities * Performs assembly operations such as winding, taping, soldering, wire stripping, crimping, attaching leads, assembling, etc. * Responsible for meeting daily production numbers in your area * Responsible for meeting the quality specifications for products produced that pass through your work station * Suggest improvements of product process flow to manager or manufacturing engineer * Responsible for building a product that meets the work instructions, "Shop Pack" or blueprints specifications * Responsible for pulling materials for the production of the product from the "Shop Pack" * Responsible for completing measurements throughout the processes * Responsible for performing and understanding "preliminary" testing process * Ability to work as part of a team and training and assisting fellow team members as needed. * Responsible for maintaining a safe and clean work area by using 5-S * Responsible for creating a safe environment and working "safe" everyday * Responsible for performing miscellaneous duties and stepping into other areas as needed Complexity of Tasks This position requires thorough knowledge of the product specifications and quality requirements. Must be able to inspect product to ensure customer specifications are met throughout the process. The individual needs to be able to read instructions, Shop Pack Order, and blueprints. Individuals need to be able to work in a repetitious environment, be detail oriented, study and follow instructions and have the ability to inspect products at all times. Qualifications/Requirements * Able to read a blueprint and know the meaning of a dotted line and a solid line * Must have a High school Diploma or GED & CRC Bronze Level * Technical background is a plus * Must be able to understand basic math skills and read measurement tools * Must feel comfortable using a computer including logging on to different websites and Microsoft Office * Understanding of a manufacturing environment, terminology, and processes * Required to be at work on time and willing to work overtime as needed * Willingness to cross train into multiple functions or skills * Comply with all job-related safety requirements * Must be a self-starter and willing to learn all positions * Required to wear steel toe safety shoes and safety glasses * A team player and work daily using core values: "Respect, Responsibility and Determination" Physical Requirements * Essential part of the role is to stand for long periods, perform repetitious motion, lift up to 35lbs, some positions requires continuous sliding of a hoist with extreme amount of weight * Ability to place pressure on wires to guide the winding process * Perform continuous winding either by machine or manually * Grip small tools Equipment/Tool Knowledge Able and willing to use the following tools and other miscellaneous tools and equipment as required by role * Tools: Compressed air, Power ,Wire stripping, Crimping, Soldering Iron, Press, and winding machines For additional information, please contact Amanda.Carlsen@ManpowerGroup.com and in the subject line list the name of the position and its location.
