Overview:

The Impulse Trendsetter is anexceptional Sales Associate who utilizes product knowledge and superior sellingskills to drive sales. The Impulse Trendsetter should be the "expert"of the merchandise, highly knowledgeable and conversant in current styletrends. Creates an enhanced shopping experience, delivers exceptional serviceand always makes the customer the priority. Sets the standard by acting as aRole Model to co-workers/peers. Advocates for the customer and communicatescustomer opportunities to store and district team.

This Macy's location utilizes aninnovative way of planning work schedules, allowing an associate to participatemore in managing availability and setting preferences for work times. Thisenables our associates to address their need for flexibility in meeting bothpersonal and work obligations. Details on My Schedule Plus are available duringthe interview process.

This position uses a scheduling plan that allows an associate to participate in the creation of his/her work schedule by managing availability and identifying a preferred work schedule. This Option 5 schedule allows the maximum amount of scheduling flexibility. Details on "Option 5" and other Macy's schedule options are available during the interview process.

Essential Functions:
Drive sales by consistentlydemonstrating exceptional Selling Skills
Communicate regularly with Vendor,District Merchant and Planners
regarding stock needs to drive topline sales
Partner with Sales Manager/Stylistto identify business driving opportunities
to drive top line sales
Develop a repeat-business customerbase in order to regularly
communicate: upcoming events, newmerchandise receipts and product
replenishment to increaseincremental sales
Provide an exceptional customerexperience by ensuring the customer is
always the priority
Utilize My Customer feedback logto communicate assortment opportunities
Leverage product knowledge toincrease sales by educating and assisting
the customer in making the bestchoice
Educate peers on Product Knowledgeand is aware of promotional
calendars
Achieve Scorecard and Vendor salesgoals, must be results oriented
Demonstrate a professional, can-doattitude
Maintain high customer readinessstandards: deliver a clean, neat and east-
to-shop store environment
Serve as a Role Model/Mentor tonew hires
Maintain communication withvendor, Sales Managers, RDMs, Regional and
District Teams for support ondriving sales, promos, and product knowledge
Proficient in POS systemsincluding Search and Send and My Client
Ensure shortage preventioninitiatives are executed
Perform other customer-facing,duties as needed
Regular, dependable attendance andpunctuality

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Experience:
High School degree or equivalent. Minimum 1 year previous merchandising or retail experience required.

Communication Skills:
Ability to effectively communicate and present information to customers, peers and all levels of management.

Mathematical Skills:
Basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Able to use a calculator.

Reasoning Ability:
Self-starter, able to work independently and as part of a team and must have good time management skills. Demonstrates a customer-first mentality, ability to convert a customer into a client.

Physical Demands:
This position involves constant moving and standing. Involves standing for at least two consecutive hours. Involves lifting at least 30 lbs. May occasionally be required to stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb ladders.

May have to reach above eye level
Other skills:
Ability to follow through on projects in a timely manner. Should be comfortable with the use of computers and frequent use of RF equipment

Work Hours:
Flexible with scheduling and available to work retail hours, which may include day, evening, weekends, and/or holidays.
