Key responsibilities include:
* Preparing and cooking meals according to menus in a safe and sanitary manner
* Preparing food in a timely manner at specified meal times
* Following proper cleaning procedures and storage of all dishes, utensils and cooking equipment
* Overseeing proper food handling and utilization of all foods to prevent contamination, increase quality, and reduce cost
* Suggesting menu or recipe changes to utilize leftovers and other supplies
* Cleaning all food service equipment, kitchen, and food storage areas

We seek the following qualifications:
* High School diploma or GED
* Three years of professional Cooking experience
* Experience in a hospital, rehab, or long term care setting working with special diets
* Positive attitude and a team player
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* Ability to pass a drug screen and background check
* Flexibility with schedule including weekends and holidays; Position may cover breakfast and lunch or lunch and dinner
* Must enjoy working with the senior population
