About this job

This is a support scientist role that will be dedicated to working with troubleshooting and support of drilling fluids in the field.

They will be assisting the research scientists with the preparation of drilling muds in the lab, testing mud additives, generating lab data required for drilling tenders internationally, report writing, and product set-up along with various other drilling fluids tasks.

This company is one of the largest global providers of products and services that span the drilling, evaluation, completion, production and intervention cycles of oil and natural gas wells. Top three skills include drilling muds, mud additives, and drilling fluids.

The work environment is in a lab setting. The candidate will be working hand in hand with tenured, senior research scientists within the drilling fluids division.

Bachelors degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering required.

Minimum 3-5 years of experience with drilling fluids or cementing.

Chemical formulation and application expertise.

As of now, this is a contract position. At the end of the 6 month duration, there will be a performance evaluation. THERE IS NO GUARANTEE THIS POSITION WILL GO PERMANENT. It depends on if they can train the candidate in another department.
