POSITION PURPOSE Provide administrative support to Account Manager and team. This person assists in performing clerical and administrative duties related to working accounts as well as interfaces with customers on relevant matters. The Assistant Account Manager processes routine customer inquires and standard correspondence on complaints, deliveries, terms, order changes, service, and related matters. Acknowledges orders, compiles quotations from established quotes, and advises customers of order changes. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Description *Schedule jobs after the account manager has given prices and taken order from the customer *Handle small accounts as an account manager *Respond to customer inquiries on status of order placed, method of shipment, etc. *Receive expedite, phone and change order requests from the customer or representative *Make changes to tickets in plant by processing computer change notice and ensuring its order entry. *Work with marketing department to get samples and data sheets as requested by the account manager *Pull tickets from file or find tickets in plant for re-orders and other reasons *Pull quotes from quote file as requested SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES *Computer skills - Word, Excel, Outlook *Basic math skills. *Good oral and written communication skills. *Proven organizational techniques and time management skills.
