About this job


Repair or replace defective equipment parts using and tools and power tools and reassemble equipment
Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly
building systems, operate efficiently or the physical condition or buildings do not deteriorate

Inspect drives, motors and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters or perform other maintenance actions, following checklists

Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools such as hammers, voice saws drills and wrenches to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices

Assemble, install or repair wiring electrical and electronic components, pipe systems and plumbing machinery and equipment

Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals and parts catalogs as necessary

Inspect, operate and test machinery and equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions

Clean and lubricate shaft bearings gears and other parts of machinery

Dismantle devices to acces and remove defective parts using both cranes and handtools and power tools

Operate cutting torches or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts

Align and balance new equipment after installation

Plan and layout repairwork using diagrams, drawing blueprints, maintenance manuals and schematic diagrams

Order parts supplies and equipment form catalogs and suppliers or obtain them from storerooms

Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments, using hand tools, levels, plump bobs and straightedges

Paint and repair roofs, windows doors, floors would work plaster drywall and other parts of building structures

Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements using rules, calipers, micrometers and other measuring instruments

Set up and operate machine tools to repair and fabricate machine parts, jigs and fixtures and tools

Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS 5+ years experience any manufacturing environment performing repairs and preventive maintenance on glass tempering production equipment Experience with computer operated equipment, welding experience MIG Experience with power tools and handtools wiring electrical PLC controls, pneumatic experience Will be performing preventative maintenance on equipment and assisting with various projects to include installation of new equipment, troubleshoot and determine course of action quickly Forklift experience Steel Toe Shoes Need to provide own tools, we will provide safety glasses You will need to be flexible with hours and work on the dayshift with maintenance manager for about six months, at that point may be assigned to the swing shift or night shift as needed
