Housekeepers - Full-time / Part-time

Eight Gables Inn is seeking a for a AAA 4 Diamond Bed and Breakfast nestled in the heart of the Smoky Mountains.  This position is maintains the brands presentation standards. It is responsible for the cleanliness and appearance of the inn, as well as assists with linen care. It addresses all guests' concerns in regards to property standards.

Position Goals and Responsibilities:

• This position is responsible for promoting the Beachtree brand, through upholding brand standards-, establishing a high standard of excellence and expectation:
  • Cleans all bathrooms, kitchens, common areas, and bedrooms
  • Makes all beds
  • Maintains flooring in all assigned units, including cleaning, polishing, and vacuuming
  • Prepares linens needed in units
  • Responsible for unit detailing: dusting, polishing of furniture, cleaning of baseboards, hanging drapery, and placing sectional rugs
  • Window maintenance: washing all windows, including sills
  • Disposal of all waste in the appropriate area
  • Takes unit inventory and replenishes necessary items
  • Reports any damage to supervisor immediately
  • Offers great customer service, when applicable

Qualifications:

To be considered for this position all candidates must have the following:

• High School Diploma
• Minimum of 6 months experience and/or training as a Housekeeper; Hospitality experience, preferred
• Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation
• Open availability (nights, weekends, holidays, and on-calls)

Applicant MUST have the following skills:

• Strong listening, oral, and written communication skills  
• Acute sense of urgency, with strong time management skill
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task
• Extremely detail-oriented
• Basic computer skills (to track Time & Attendance)
