Job Summary

The Procurement Coordinator is an entry level position in the IT Software Procurement Group.  The Procurement Coordinator is responsible for providing advanced and diversified administrative support for the Software Commodity Supervisors and Managers.  Day to day responsibilities include  drafting various contract documents,  assisting with global software procurement needs, and participating in special procurement and contract projects to drive strategic initiatives.  The Procurement Coordinator functions as both a contributing member of a contract administration team and as an observer with the intention of learning the Procurement Process at the most detailed level.

Job Duties / Responsibilities and Skills

*The ability to build strategic relationships with UPS employees and vendor representatives

*The Preparation of contract documents including order letters, non disclosure agreements and contract amendments

*Ability to analyze documents and disseminate key information to UPSers and Vendors

  • Provide general administrative support to the management team by performing advanced, diversified confidential administrative duties.
  • Preparing presentations
  • Other duties as assigned by management

  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Proficient Using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Access) a must.
  • Proficient with Oracle and Ariba
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of staff with UPS Procurement
  • Ability to thrive in a team environment.

Education and Experience

  • Associates Degree or higher - Business Managment Preferred
  • 2 years experience in Purchasing or other industry related experience.
