Position Title: Assistant Manager
Reports To: Management/Franchise Owner

Position Summary:

The Assistant Manager’s role is to support and aid the store manager in the operation of the store and to assume the role of store manager when he/she is not present. It is also expected that the Assistant Manager be actively engaged in the process of developing the skills and abilities necessary to advance to the level of store manager when a position becomes available.

Prerequisites:

• Must be 18 years of age
• Must be High School graduate or equivalent
• Experience in the quick-service restaurant environment, preferably with supervisory experience
• Must demonstrate, and be willing to grow in, the personal traits listed below
• Reliable transportation

Job Requirements:

• Available to work all shifts as needed, minimum of 30 hours a week
• Must be able to work any area of the restaurant when needed and to operate a computerized point of sale system/cash register
• Position requires standing for up to 9+ hours a day, lifting 10-20 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally

General Responsibilities:

• Consistently enforce policies, procedures and operational systems
• Set a standard for fast, friendly customer service at all times
• Maintain a clean, organized, safe restaurant
• Maintain food safety practices at all times
• Supervise employees, shifts and assigned management tasks
• Awareness of employee performance, with follow-up and coaching to ensure excellent operations
• Perform all duties as outlined in the Sandwich Artist description

Specific Responsibilities:

• Complete all SUBWAY training as directed
• Oversee the store Safety/Food-Safety program
• Oversee the store Preventative Maintenance program
• To complete all tasks as assigned by the store manager
• To take responsibility for personal growth to prepare for promotion to store manager
