SUMMARY
The Sizer operator is responsible for utilizing production equipment in accordance to the specified work instructions and procedures for the sizing process. The candidate will be responsible for their respective equipment and tools and will have complete ownership of the quality for their products.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Sizer Operator
Handle all aspects of the sizing process including:
Follow work instructions and procedures to operate sizing machine
Ensure proper set-up and sequence of drawing dies
Monitor the quality of produced material
Maintain the proper segregation of different materials
Identify finished product and rework material properly
Follow work instructions and procedures for changing dies and cleaning process
Maintain documentation of the weight measurements
Follow exact process procedures and work instructions including Response Flow Checklist.
Identify and track all dedicated tools in accordance with best 5S practices and maintain equipment cleanliness.
Support and follow production targets for in-process and final goods.
Participate in weekly stand-up meetings within the Wire department.
Consult with team lead on production schedule.
Act as a technical resource during root cause analysis.
Complete and maintain all process records including process control charts and Preventive Maintenance checklists.
Support and adhere to all ISO quality procedures.
Maintain training records and training logs.
Cross train on other departmental functions and assist in the cross-training of co-workers.
Comply with all quality and safety rules and regulations.
Additional duties and tasks as assigned.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or equivalent. 1-2 years operator experience in a manufacturing environment. Requires attention to detail with a focus on quality and a team orientation. Ability to apply basic math. Must be computer literate with basic skills in MS Office.
MANUFACTURING TOOLS
Support Copy Exact processes, 5S, and equipment & process control monitoring systems. Ability to use a micrometer and a soldering iron. Encourage and support systematic External and Internal Change Control Procedures.
