Description: General Summary:Establish and maintain a quality system for Body Build Parts to promote and control the quality of manufacturing to fulfill the internal and external customer expectations to therefore meet business targets. Provide support in the development and launch of new products and processes and maintain these systems throughout the life cycle of the Body Build product.ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES (including but not limited to accountabilities below): Ensure compliance of policies and procedures Build and maintain good working relationships with Team Members and management Initiate and complete reports to track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and other administrative tasks as required Inform of any internal or external quality problems to the inspection line and work to improve the inspection process Execute special projects for production support activities Participate in forecasting and forward planning activities Review the body dimensional data and implement improvement activities Identify critical quality characteristics of automotive manufacturing Troubleshoot quality issues to determine root cause and put countermeasures in place Support production in the development of temporary and long-term countermeasures Write detailed reports on quality issues Communicate effectively at various levels of the organization and with external customers and suppliers Assure customer satisfaction for both our internal and external customers by maintaining and improving the quality of supplied parts Provide quality planning in the areas of 100% inspections, sample inspections, and audits Support the development of instructions regarding vehicle evaluations Write and implement quality assurance systems and procedures to ensure regulation/compliance Follow and assure strong involvement of the quality department in the pre-production activities, and functional and cross-functional groups for the purpose of assuring KIA level quality Coordinate ISIR and approval for new body parts from venders Support the production of training materials, curriculum, and inspection materials for body quality team membersQUALIFICATIONS and JOB REQUIREMENTS (Education, Experience, Competencies): Bachelor s degree in Mechanical engineering or related field along with two (2) to five (5) years of progressive experience in the body-in-white field in a manufacturing environment preferably within the automotive industry, or an equivalent combination of education and experience Possess strong self-responsibility, planning and organizational skills Flexible schedule to work overtime, holidays and weekends as required Ability to travel domestically and internationally Strong analytical problem solving skills and effective decision-making Ability to perform multi-tasks with multiple priorities within a designated time frame Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion in both exercising company decisions and carrying out essential job duties that affect efficient business operations and its objectives, policies, practices, and conditionsSPECIALIZED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED Experience working with word processor, spreadsheet, database, and presentation applications and/or software.
