Performs delivery service to customer base on demand, according to a delivery route or on a scheduled shuttle from point A to point B. Trains and certifies new delivery teammates. Performs inventory control functions as directed by manager. Assists in maintaining clean and orderly working environment both in store and in delivery vehicles.
This is a full-time position.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Uses company vehicle to deliver parts and equipment and pick up returns at the customer's place of business in a safe and courteous manner.
Rides with drivers as directed by store manager to evaluate safe driving and customer service skills. Makes training recommendations based on evaluations.
Completes an evaluation of each new delivery teammate and reviews with store manager.
Trains all drivers on defensive driving habits and daily vehicle inspections to
include safety, appearance and proper maintenance schedules.
Performs routine maintenance checks on company vehicle.
Cleans and maintains store and parts storage area in safe and orderly condition.
Processes daily new, core and warranty returns received from delivery drivers.
Checks in product received and notes shipping discrepancies.
Stocks shelves with incoming product.
Maintains store retail display area, including pricing, fronting shelves, and building displays.
Attends store meetings as scheduled by store manager.
Participates in available training opportunities as discussed with store
manager.

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Greets the customer within 20 feet or 20 seconds of entering the store.
Answers customer phone calls and serves in-store customers thru use of
electronic and paper cataloging system to identify, source and invoice needed parts.

Required Skills
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Previous customer service or delivery experience.
Must be 18 years of age or older with a valid driving license and a good driving record.
Must meet all applicable state-specific drivers license requirements prior to driving a company vehicle to perform delivery duties.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
Demonstrated strong customer service skills.
Position requires proof of good driving record and good defensive driving skills.
Must maintain a good driving record and must pass a prework screen to
demonstrate ability to perform the physical requirements of the job in a safe and efficient manner.
Able to provide directions to new teammates and determine achievement of required skills based on established standards.
Able to understand catloging index systems and able to read manufacturing automotive components paper cataloging system.
Able to use point of sale and electronic cataloging systems.
Successful completion of the company's safety training courses.

Desired skills
Customer service experience in automotive aftermarket.
General knowledge of automotive aftermarket functions and purpose.
Bi-lingual skills.
