The Clinical Operations Nurse Consultant will focus on Rapid Deployment to solve health plan specific clinical gaps and deploy new business.


 


Primary Responsibilities:



  • Assist local health plan clinical teams to deliver/execute the long term care clinical programs as part of a startup or current business

  • Subject matter expert in LTC programs and the work of the care coordinator, utilization management team

  • Be able to rapidly deploy to a health plan to meet gaps in health plans and deploy resources who may need to augment site staff to get business up and running

  • Coach, mentor new nurses/managers, assist with implementation of clinical competency program

  • Be a resource for local, regional and national medical management teams on the LTC clinical programs and effectiveness of delivery for covered service area

  • Effective written and oral communication skills

  • Effective Computer skills in MS Office

  • Ability to be flexible, travel and work in different locations as needed

  • Demonstrated competency in problem solving, clinical program execution and delivery

  • Ability to effectively teach, coach clinical staff

Requirements

Required Qualifications:



  • Job related experience working in Medicaid and Medicare

Preferred Qualifications:



  • Current, unrestricted RN licensure in state of residence

  • Extensive clinical case management experience in a Medicaid Long Term Care managed program

  • Knowledge of basic Medicaid and Medicare

  • 5+ years experience in field case management, long term care or utilization management

  • Ability to travel (Travel can be 25% on average, but can be more depending on needs)
