The Health Coach Supervisor  will have direct responsibility for mentoring, supporting and developing a staff of Health Coaches. This individual will have a wide variety of duties and responsibilities: assisting with interviewing/hiring, facilitating meetings, driving business goals, helping to deliver training and on-boarding of new hires and working on overall strategy. The Supervisor will be a main subject matter expert working with the technology and training departments in regards to the needs of the Health Coach staff.


 


Position will work full time within the Call Center's hours of operation: Monday – Thursday 8 AM – 11 PM; Friday 8 AM – 8 PM; Saturday 8 AM – 4:30 PM.


 


Primary Responsibilities:



  • Coordinates, supervises and is accountable for the daily activities of business support, technical or production team or unit

  • Sets team direction and priorities to ensure task completion

  • Coordinates work activities with other supervisors

  • Develops plans to meet short-term objectives

  • Identifies and resolves operational problems using defined processes, expertise and judgment

Requirements

Required Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree, preferably a health related field

  • Minimum three years of experience in direct education and/or coaching with individuals for disease prevention, health promotion and behavior change

  • Either certified in a nationally recognized coaching program or must complete certification by the end of the first year of employment

  • Intermediate level of proficiency in PC-based word processing and database documentation (Word, Excel, Internet, Outlook)

  • Minimum of basic knowledge of disease prevention (cardiovascular and diabetes) and basic understanding of exercise principles, nutrition and weight management

Preferred Qualifications:



  • Supervisory or Management experience

  • Willingness to teach, learn and be open to new and innovative ways of delivering prevention lifestyle intervention services

  • Flexible, open to new ideas, and willing to take on new responsibilities

  • Bilingual
