About this job
Food Manufacturing company in North Fort Worth is looking for experienced R&D Lab Technician.
Responsible for ensuring the quality of all processes from raw materials to finished products through inspection, diagnosis and record keeping. Ensure compliance with all Quality Programs and food safety initiatives to ensure the production of safe and high quality products.
Responsible for:
Using lab equipment for weighing and/or analyzing materials viscosity, salt, pH, Brix (solids), sieve, bulk density, temperature
Accurate formula weigh-ups and the recording of all pertinent data
Using lab processing equipment blenders, tumbler, oil and/or tack spray
Ability to perform organoleptic and sensory testing; color, flavor, water dilutions
Identify and understand function of a raw material, ingredient, as it relates to Circle U Foods' products and ingredients
Understanding product specifications
Knowledgeable in R&D laboratory protocol with regards to handling of retained samples
Knowledgeable and understand ingredient classification and numbering system
Knowledgeable in all production functions
Ablility to identify, verify and secure raw materials from storage/production facility; follow proper reporting protocol
Managing materials, supplies and equipment inventory
Ability to accurately and timely communication on R&D, QA/QC procedures and customer processes and preparation methods
Knowledgeable of technical documents from vendors, customers, internal, including label regulations and formula calculations
Set-up and conducting panel testing
Auditing and conducting first production runs
Ability to provide training to incoming lab personnel and production employees
Other duties as assigned
work experience requirements
Two (2) Years of applicable experience
Food industry experience preferred
education requirements
Science degree preferred
Applicable experience may be used to substitute for educational requirement
