Janitor

COMPANY of Western Ohio, the fifth largest in the USA, serves nearly 50,000 members in a 32 county area throughout western Ohio and southeast Indiana. COMPANY is currently in need of someone to perform janitorial/light facilities maintenance duties on 2nd shift. This is a 90 WORKING DAY contract-to-hire.

Hours: 12 P.M. - 9 P.M.

Musts:
6+ Months or more of janitorial experience
6+ Months or more of light facilities maintenance experience (changing light bulbs, HVAC filters, minor plumbing)
Intermediate computer skills (Word, Excel, Email)

Preferred:
Experience dealing with outside vendors via phone/email to order supplies or services
Experience scheduling jobs/work orders to be completed

Job Duties:
Sweeping/Mopping floors, dusting, cleaning bathrooms/toilets, refilling soap dispensors/paper towel dispensors, take out trash, set alarm system, patching walls, changing light bulbs/ballasts, changing HVAC filters, ordering supplies from vendors, identifying and outsourcing larger maintenance issues or jobs to be done as well as scheduling the jobs.

This position will occasionally require them to come in earlier than noon on some days (if there is a major problem or if it snowed, they would have to go in early and make sure the parking lot and sidewalks are taken care of and cleared) THIS IS NOT A REGULAR THING but they have to be open to it.

This is a very clean, newer office setting that is TEMPATURE CONTROLLED. There is a retail shop in the front where people will come in and out of so this person needs to have excellent customer serivce skills and professionalism since they will be directly facing customers at points of time and with will interact with co-workers daily as well. Having high integrity and respect is critical in this role.


About once per week, this person will use a company vehicle to go to Lowes (or similar) store to get supplies.
