Loss Mitigation Specialist
MUST HAVE GOOG CREDIT(run credit check)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Individual must have a High School Diploma or equivalent. (1 - 2 years of college preferred, can be substituted with experience). Good oral, written and human relations skills. Good attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines and deal tactfully with customers. Familiarity with word processing software, excel, and PC literacy preferred.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Responsible for performing the financial analysis on customer income to debt ratio
2. Research information on updated regulations from Fannie Mae
3. Home Affordable Modification Program Analysis, HAMP monthly reporting, HAMP Correspondence, Collection Calls, Visits and Property Inspections, Home Visits, Loan Modifications, Mortgage Insurance Default Monthly Reporting, Foreclosures, Insurance Claims and Remittance forms to Fannie Mae.
4. Judgments, Charge Offs, Recoveries and Bankruptcies.
5. Responsible for reviewing payment list; maintains departmental files and prepares paperwork on debits, credits and other payments.
6. Contacts credit bureaus for customer reports, checks customer references, updates addresses and gathers additional information as necessary.
7. Prepares reports on the kind and status of delinquent account and collection activities undertaken by the financial institution, and rates the accounts according to the financial institutions procedures.
8. Collector is responsible for contacting customers regarding their delinquent accounts, verification of repair work before releasing an insurance check, and lost checks and payments.
9. Perform other related duties as assigned
