NEW GROWTH in Waco Texas (McLennon County) has opened up this great opportunity to lead a team of field based RN Service Coordinators!
**This role will work from their home office (telecommute) a few days a week and from nursing home a few days a week**
This RN Management role is responsible for:
- Clinical operations across the continuum of care (assessing, planning, implementing, coordinating, monitoring and evaluating)
- Case management and coordination of care
- Takes lead role in setting direction and participating in or developing new programs
- Sets team direction, resolves problems and provides guidance to members of the team
- Ensures team meets established performance metrics and performance guarantees
- Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address business and operational challenges
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Current, unrestricted RN license in the State of Texas
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a manager
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in a hospital setting, acute care, direct care experience OR experience as a telephonic Case Manager for an insurance company
- Solid computer proficiency with basic level of experience with Microsoft Word and with the ability to navigate a Windows environment
- Working knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid
- Strong organizational skills and multitasking abilities
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Must have a reliable vehicle, a current and unrestricted driver's license and proof of insurance
Preferred Qualifications:
- BSN
- Nursing home experience a plus
- A background in managed care
- Case Management experience
- Certified Case Manager (CCM)
- Experience/exposure with discharge planning
- Experience in utilization review, concurrent review and/or risk management
- Experience in homehealth or hospice
- CBA experience (community based alternatives)
- Experience managing staff in a call center environment is a plus
