SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Shop Assistant Manager assists the Center Manager in managing the day-to-day operations of a Just Brakes Automotive Service Center, and performs the duties and responsibilities of Center Manager in the absence of the Manager; providing leadership to Center personnel. Inspects and diagnoses repairs for customer vehicles utilizing AMRA/MAP Uniform Inspection and Communication Standards.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Assists the Center Manager in the overall management of Center; including training, managing and directing the daily activities of Center employees and providing input in the evaluation of their work performance; in accordance with Just Brakes policies and procedures.
  • Acts as the Center Manager in the absence of the Manager from the store.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • A strong, demonstrated knowledge of general shop procedures and overall production requirements in a Just Brakes Service Center.
  • Experience managing and directing the work of two or more employees.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to add and subtract in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals and compute rate, ratio, and percent.
  • Must have dependable transportation to work.
