 A major automotive parts manufacturer in the Lafayette, IN area is currently seeking a Team Leader. 

  The Team Leader is directly responsible for supervising and coordinating activities of associates engaged in maintaining and operating all equipment by performing the following duties:

 

 ²        Understand and be able to assist associates on performing preventive maintenance assignments.

 ²        Be able to perform machine set up and operate machinery in a safe manner.

 ²        Understand and be able to operate and assist individual process stations on all equipment

 ²        Capable of clearing all faults and restarting machine.

 ²        Inform Production Manager of any and all quality issues

 ²        Accurate completion of paperwork and data entry

 ²        Maintain 5S standards.

 ²       Inspects and measures parts and products to verify conformance to specifications.

 ²       Directs workers in adjusting machines and equipment to repair products which fail to meet standards.

²       Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.

 ²       Develops, recommends, and implements measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.

 ²       Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency.

 ²       Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.

²       Monitor absenteeism and maintains time and production records.

²       Develop and maintain cross training of associates to include maintaining and keeping records of progress.

 ²       Write and update Detail Process Sheets and Failure Mode Effect Analysis.

 ²        Associates as part of their accountability to monitor controls effectively to meet requirements, and to report to department management as to compliance with these requirements

 ²       Controls and maintain all TPM Goals (Safety, Scrap,

Customer Defects, In-Process Defects and Downtime Frequency)

 ²       May have responsibilities for following all RCRA aspects of packing, labeling, handling, and manifesting hazardous waste.

 ²       Supports and participate continuous improvement programs for Health, Safety and Environmental.
