In partnership with Information Technology, the Resident & Family Engagement team, Strategy & Innovation team and other stake holders, the Director will develop and operationalize Brookdale’s long-term strategy for introduction and implementation of resident, family and Resident Programs technology platforms to communities.

Key responsibilities include:
*Partner with Resident and Family Engagement, Strategy and Marketing teams to listen to customers’ needs and identify potential solutions related to technology.
*Implement strategies to enhance resident and family engagement through innovation, technology and improved community systems.
*Partner with Sales and Marketing to determine how to effectively leverage resident technology advances as part of community features and benefits.
*Identify and implement creative technology solutions and tools for Resident Programs associates that enhance resident engagement.
*Provide oversight of technology based Resident Program’s pilot programs throughout the company.
*Evaluate the effectiveness of resident technology platforms and develop plans to address barriers and deficits.
*Evaluate the usage of various resident technology platforms and develop plans for improvement in conjunction with Resident and Family Engagement team, regional and divisional team members.
*Develop plans for launching and maintaining technology platforms designed to engage residents and family members.
*Provide coaching and counseling for Resident Programs associates as it relates to developing programs that incorporate innovation, technology and overall enrichment for the residents.

We seek the following principal qualifications:
*Bachelor’s Degree in an applicable field related to wellbeing-including gerontology, psychology, health or social field or equivalent experience required.
*At least 5-8 years of experience working with older adults.
*Applies existing guidelines and procedures to make varied decisions within a department.
*Uses sound judgment and experience to solve moderately complex problems based on precedent, example, reasonableness or a combination of these.
*Possesses extensive knowledge of a distinct skill or function and a thorough understanding of the organization and work environment.
*Extensive knowledge of technology systems for older adults and a desire to provide solutions for residents and families.
*Strong management and leadership skills and the ability to coordinate care across disciplines. Creativity and quality team work skills.
*Organizational skills and computer literacy.
*Must be able to communicate effectively with residents, families, associates, vendors and the general public.
