The Strategic Review Analyst (SRA) reviews final RFP documents for all pharmacy products produced by the proposal organization. This critical role ensures a consistent, comprehensive, and high-quality product  that supports the strategic direction of the RFP as defined  by the sales director.  In addition,   the SRA is responsible for ensuring that all RFP documents accurately reflect OptumRx's products and services and clearly articulate our value story.

 


 Perform  strategic reviews  on all RFP documents

 Effectively understand RFP questions and responses


 Act as a subject matter  expert  for products, services and capabilities

 Partner with proposal development analysts and proposal writers to increase overall understanding and knowledge

 Have a sound knowledge of the information provided  in sales strategy documents, including the knowledge-base, SharePoint sites  and marketing collateral

 Coach proposal development analysts/proposal writers by providing quality review comments

 Mentor new strategic review analysts, as needed

 Participate in relevant training opportunities that will enhance both individual performance and overall unit performance

Additional responsibilities include:

Requirements


- College  Degree required; English or Journalism preferred

- Strong ability to write, proofread and edit RFP documents with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail required

- A minimum of 4 years Pharmacy Benefit experience required

- A combination of PBM operations ((i.e. Call Center, Implementation, Client Management) and Medical/Commercial Healthcare experience totaling 7 + years Healthcare Industry experience will be considered

- 3+ years of experience writing RFPs; preferably in health care  or pharmacy industry (i.e. Medical, PBM, Financial, C&S, M&R, etc.)

- Excellent  written and verbal communication skills

- Experience with a knowledge base within a proposal organization (i.e. Qvidian)

- Proficiency  in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

- Flexible and able to cope  with changing conditions


- Must be willing to complete a writing assignment as part of the screening process
