We are seeking an experienced Manager of IT Project Management responsible for supporting a portfolio.  Help oversee and administer a group of projects and programs loosely connected only by common funding sources or common stakeholders in the Enterprise and Compliance, Human Capital and Corporate Communications business areas. 



 


 



Primary Responsibilities:




  • Lead cross-functional and/or cross-segment teams

  • Predict emerging customer needs and develop innovative solutions to meet them

  • Develop and manage business plans to achieve objectives

  • Solve unique and complex problems with broad impact on the business

  • Formulate and execute escalations for projects with major issues to senior management, and direct follow-up via direct reports or project team members

  • Influence senior leadership to adopt new ideas, products, and/or approaches

  • Translate highly complex concepts in ways that can be understood by a variety of audiences

  • Application portfolio management

  • Program and Project Management

  • Supervisory responsibilities of PM team

  • Work assignment and Demand and Capacity management

Requirements

Required Qualifications:




  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience executing complex programs/projects in an IT environment

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience with software development projects

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience managing financial systems projects involving complex testing environments including mainframes such as banks, pension funds and/or insurance companies

  • Ability to create and maintain dynamic schedules in Microsoft project

  • Experience  in a robust project/program management tool such as Planview, Clarity, HP PPM, MS Project

  • Experience using Excel to prepare project and program financial reports, including summarization of extracts from time reporting tools such as Planview

  • Experience with SharePoint or a similar collaboration tool, including creating tabs, lists, etc.

  • Experience leading large, complex projects and programs to achieve key business objectives

  • Must be willing and able to work in either Minnetonka, MN or Hartford, CT offices

 



Preferred Qualifications:



  • PMP

  • Healthcare experience

  • Agile experience
