About this job

Position Summary: Welcome visitors and answer incoming calls in a warm, pleasant, and professional manner. Maintain a clean and neat reception area, handle specific resident services and seek administrative support as needed.

Routine Functions of the Positions:

  • Provide a welcoming environment for residents, coworkers, and all visitors to the facility
  • Possess and maintain knowledge of the facility, benefits, services provided, the customers, and employees.
  • Greet visitors courteously and direct them to the appropriate area or personnel and answer routine questions.
  • Operate paging/telephone system as required.
  • Answer incoming calls, both internally and externally, in a warm, pleasant, and professional manner
  • Take detailed messages when appropriate and ensure that messages are relayed promptly to the intended person.
  • Ensure that the reception areas are clean, neat, and inviting
  • Prepare outgoing facility mail for pickup
  • Opens, stamps, sorts and distributes incoming mail for departments
  • Maintain current listing of residents and coworkers
  • Reports equipment malfunctions as soon as possible to appropriate personnel
  • Maintains the maintenance book for repairs to facility
  • Sells meal tickets to coworkers and reconcile the funds
  • Organizes the necessary information packets for applicants and new coworkers
  • Performs clerical functions associated with resident admission, discharges, and readmission
  • Responsible for typing, copying, faxing for all departments are requested

  • Displays skills in operating and using office equipment, such as copier, fax machine, postage meter, etc.

Physical Job Requirements

In a typical eight-hour day, the coworker will

  • Stand/walk up to two hours
  • Sit up to eight hours a day
  • Frequently support up to 30 pounds
  • Frequently lift/carry up to 50 pounds
  • Frequently kneel, bend, and reach
